Which needs a completely new formulation for the tar mixture first, a formulation which has passed quite some tests proving its functionality.
At the current status of development (or rather the one I know about) sticking to the old technology might be less costly still. And then it would require drones of the consumer sizes but much much bigger ones.
Current drones clearly can collect data on street damage but it can be collected any other way too (for example automatically by the cars or by passers-by).
Have you really never seen the apparatus it needs to tar a new street?
