Apple says all of its devices are vulnerable to major processor defects revealed on Wednesday, but says updates are already available.
The vulnerabilities known as Meltdown and Specter affect almost all modern computing devices from all manufacturers using chip designs from Intel, AMD and ARM. Apple uses Intel processors in its Mac computers and ARM-based designs for its series processors. A used in the lines of iPhone, iPad, Apple TV and Apple Watch.
Apple said: "All Mac systems and iOS devices are affected, but there are no known exploits that impact customers at this time."
Apple also says it is developing protections against Specter for its Safari browser for iOS and macOS, and that it would release them in the coming days to help stop potential exploitation through JavaScript running in the browser from a website.
