That issue of not being able to upgrade the internal iOS storage has been a problem for us. We only upgrade phones every two years, because that’s how long it takes to pay off a ne iPhone on the payment plan. Other than that, my family of five loves our iPhones.

I hear there have been bugs galore on iOS 11. I haven't encountered any so far.
I've found that maintaining storage is fairly simple if you let Safari handle the bulk of your needs/wants. Also finding apps that consolidate different services into one. For instance, Friendly combines Facebook (with Messenger), Instagram, and Twitter into a single application. Not only that, but it takes up less space and uses far less resources.
I also enjoy being able to delete some of the pre-installed apps that come with the iPhone initially and replace them. I removed the Mail app in favor of Spark.
I'd love to have you clean up my teenager's phone! Her storage is maxed, and she won't remove everything, and that prevents her from being able to upgrade her iOS, and now her phone won't function properly. I am not technical enough to do all this stuff.
What apps does she use?
Well it’s not the apps that take up space. It’s all her pictures and videos. We are setting her up with storage.
