Really enjoyed reading this - certainly one of the best keyboards ever made! I think a company called 'UniComp' has attempted to re-create the IBM Model M keyboard for modern PCs & Macs.

Hopefully if it's any good, might be worth picking one up and trying it out. Would be great to see you write a comparison between them both, and see how well it matches up to the original Model M!

Glad you enjoyed the review. I actually do have a model from pckeyboard.com, so it is what I am currently using. It's a great keyboard: top shelf. But it is not as good as the original: not as heavy, materials not as nice, not as rigid. Overall quality and feel not as good as the original, but it's a damned fine reproduction.
