Google is known to have many products in various lines of life, ranging from vehicles, smartphones, to speakers. Now, Google is reportedly interested in getting into the gaming industry.
As quoted by Android Central from The Information, Google is reportedly developing "Yeti", a subscription-based streaming game service. Not only that, Google also reportedly is building its own game console to support Yeti services.
The console is likely to be sold under the "Made by Google" brand. The brand is already used in previous Google products, such as Pixel 2 and Pixelbook.
The report shows, the Yeti project has been developed for the past two years. The project is led by Majd Bakar and Mario Queiroz.
Previously, the Yeti project will be launched on Christmas last year. But the plan was void for a reason. Now, Google is likely to introduce Yeti at the May I / O event.
Sinarara, Reuters reported, Google will involve their Cloud services for the Yeti project. Later, Google Cloud will broadcast games to users via the internet.
So far, Google has been discussing Yeti with some famous game developers. It is not known whether Yeti will use the game from Google or the developer.
There has been no official confirmation from Google regarding this ambitious project. But if Yeti is launched, it will compete with other services, such as PlayStation Now and Xbox GamePass.
