BEST PS4 GAMES FROM E3 COMING SOON... (Part 1)

Here's my top PS4 upcoming game picks which were announced at E3 a few days ago.

The annual Electronic Entertainment Expo, or E3 as it's known in laymen's terms, went down last week between the 13-15 June 2017, it is thee biggest gaming event of the year. All the big names in the gaming universe were there to showcase what those hard working little gaming elves had been up to since the previous E3 and honestly - I was not disappointed.

The Press Conference

As per usual the best and brightest hardware and software publishers, or companies with fuck tons of money as I like to call them, got to make a really big fuss and host a huge press conference with all the bells and whistles. This year those lucky bastards were:

  • Sony
  • Bethesda
  • Electronic Arts
  • Ubisoft
  • Microsoft
  • Nintendo

All the conferences were pretty cool with loads of new titles in the pipeline from all the major game brands, Microsoft had a huge surprise for the Xbox fans. After launching the new Xbox One S last year at E3, Microsoft revealed a new console "Project Scorpio" set for release probably just before Christmas this year. Too soon, yeah that's what I thought, but anyway the big news from them this year was, wait for it..... they gave Project Scorpio a new name, take a guess Xbox One, wait for it... X. Yes seriously.

I had a deep burning desire that Sony would come out right at the very end of their presser with a big fuck you, and hint, yes even just hint at a PS5 or something similar for us Playstation junkies, but alas, lets hope for next year.

Now lets get to the first game on my list of great games announced at E3, most of these games will also be available across all platforms.

God of War

Oh shit, Kratos is back and sporting a rather manly godlike beard this time round. Proudly brought to by the same people who brought all seven previous installments of the game Santa Monica Studio and it's exclusively available on Playstation... in 2018, FML. Rumor is this will be a soft reboot so they'll probably be doing another 7 follow up games after this, some folks really need that second beach house, you know, to feel the burn.
Anyways, this time it's set in Norse mythology as all the previous games were based on Greek mythology, and with good reason, he pretty much laid waste to every single Greek God and even Mount Olympus, trust me there's nothing left to go back to. It has a very Logan vibe to it including the young child that's with him the whole time, but Logan has nothing on Kratos when it comes to temper. He has an Axe and it looks Leroy Brown badass.

Anthem

This upcoming video game is being developed by BioWare, you know, the cool peeps who brought us great games like the Mass Effect series, Star Wars: The Old Republic and Dragon Age: Origins. Its unfortunately only set for release somewhere in 2018 so we're gonna have to carry on playing ESO until that happens. It's a action role-playing game, you're pretty much Tony Stark in the Iron Man suit flying around blowing the living crap out of everything and you seem to be able to do this with friends. The landscape resembles an earth like lush distant future where everything has gone to shit and features both single-player and co-operative multiplayer.

Could we be expecting Marvel to finally cotton on to games like Anthem or the Batman: Arkham series from DC, well stay tuned for my next post I'll be exploring just that and continuing my E3 game picks in part 2.

Thanks for taking the time to read, let me know what you think in the comments below.

I can't wait for both these games, kickass post, can't wait for part 2!!

Great post, followed!

I myself am really curious about Anthem. This is Bioware after all and this game looks so out of left field for them.

My favorite conference was Bethesta btw: Wolfee and Dishonored ftw!

As for the sony conference I was most disappointed that we didn't get any Last of Us Part II info. Guess we'll have to wait for the sony experience...oh well....

Hey thanks so much!! Yeah Bethesda and Sony for me, I was holding thumbs for Last of US, but no :(

I'm a new fan of BioWare. Just in the middle of playing Mass Effect Andromeda, and that game literally blew my shit. This proves to do the same I think :)
