In particular, the memo notes that the logic board or solid state drive of the MacBook Pro may not work properly and that both hardware components need to be replaced at the same time as the warranty. The note does not go into detail on why this is happening, especially because both sides seem to need to be replaced simultaneously, nor does it say what percentage of the machines will be affected by this new problem.

Apple is indicating a response time of between five and seven days for work, which will be covered as a free repair within Apple's one-year limited warranty or via an extended AppleCare + plan.

Anyone with a device that believes they have these problems should make an appointment to visit their local Apple Store or Apple authorized service provider.
