New concern for the Asian allies of the United States

North Korean leader Kim Jong-un's top meeting of President Donald Trump for the US allies in Asia has certainly created mixed reactions.

A New York Times report says that although they will no longer have to be careful about fearing the beginning of the war in the Korean peninsula, but the trump-Kim meeting last Tuesday created new concerns among the countries. President Trump's release to North Korea has increased their fears of US long-term commitment to protecting the region.

After the meeting, hoping the President Trump's sudden announcement was a surprise to American allies, including South Korea, after postponing US joint military exercises with South Korea and hoping to remove 28,000 US troops from the Korean Peninsula. Even the Pentagon did not know about the matter.

In more detail, the President Trump's announcement raises questions about whether North America is showing signs of withdrawing from the region.

Since World War II, the United States has been playing a leadership role in East Asia by guaranteeing the safety of allies in Japan and South Korea. But before the talks with North Korea, the President questioned the rationality of the troop deployment in the region and said in clear language, that he thinks that the United States is spending a lot of money in their support.
