Nvidia was founded in 1993 by Jensen Huang, Chris Malachowsky and Curtis Priem. In 1994 they joined SGS-Thompson, a company of electronic components.
In 1995 he launched his first graphics card, called NV1. In 1996 they developed the first drivers for the general public. In 1997 the RIVA 128 card was launched, with sales of 1 million units sold in just 4 months. In 2004, Nvidia developed dual processing with 2 graphics cards working at the same time.
In 2005 the Playstation 3 comes out with Nvidia chip. In 2008, the series of Tegra processors was launched, which unites processor and graphics on the same chip, and is sold in mobile phones, tablets, cars, etc.
In the current year, 2017, Nvidia along with Amd, are the only two companies that work on the graphics cards that we use every day to play video games, as to work in graphic design.
