alert ("JavaScript is going to dominate the world -_- '");
Recently I was doing a little research, for the technical team of my company, on programming languages and technologies most used in this year and those that are going to be used in the future.
Of the several sources that I consulted, the one I find most interesting is that of a survey made by StackOverflow this year (the bible of the programmers) that shows that JavaScript is the most used technology.
I leave the graphic they publish and their source:
Source: https://insights.stackoverflow.com/survey/2018/#experience
Obviously not only I stayed with the result of the survey, I was investigating much more and here I summarize the reasons why I consider that JavaScript leads the surveys.
Efficient use of resources
The culture around the language and the simple way that can be done to reuse code, makes it much faster and easier to make applications and scale them. In addition to the way in which the processes are done, they are becoming more efficient and robust, often leaving the processing of the information on the client's side and thus increasing the speed significantly in our web applications.
Safe environment
All the main JavaScript frameworks come with firm security parameters and are tested many times before being released to the market, which surely improves performance and provides an error-free environment. In addition, the exponential growth of the community around language means that improvements are made much faster.
Cost-effective solution
The cost of a solution depends on the resources needed to implement functions and features, along with the efforts put in by developers to make it work. JavaScript reduces that cost since most frameworks are open source and free to use, and reduces the efforts of developers due to the reusable resources available in libraries and packages.
Tools and future
Tools to work with JavaScript there are many, with which you can do from scratch and up to 100% a web application, fully functional and I assure you that much more efficient and robust than with other languages. (These tools will be explained in more detail in another article). Also nowadays and in a distant future everything is turning around web applications and being JavaScript (according to the surveys) the favorite of the people, I feel that it has a promising future.
What do you think about JavaScript? Do you think there is a more complete language?
In the next articles I will be deepening in technologies used in FrontEnd and BackEnd specifically, related to JavaScript.
By the way, would you be interested in making a series of articles that are a JavaScript tutorial?
I leave you a sentence and an article by the same author that I consider important to spend a little time reading them.
