We all like to sit next to the window but did you ever think that why are airplane windows are round ?
Air transport became very popular in the 20th century. Therefore, almost all the airplanes flew at a higher altitude. When an airplane flies at higher altitude, it decreases the air density. Because of the low air density air resistance also decreases . In this case, it is very important to keep the internal air pressure at a higher level. Therefore, all aircraft are designed as cylindrical.
In the early years, aircraft windows are designed to square shape. Unfortunately, it has caused many negative effects.
I hope you enjoyed, Thank you for read this :)
What were the negative affects?
In the early years airplane has been crashed.
Yes the cylindrical shape of the aeroplanes fuselage requires the windows to be the shape they are!
Unfortunately, people then believe they can observe the earths curvature at around 35,000 feet high which in truth is just ludicrous. If this was true then we would be living on a ball shaped sphere a 1000th the size it is reported by scientific data and known exploration results to be actually 25,000 miles in circumference!
Furthermore, high altitude balloons at 125,000 feet high and without a fish eyed wide angle lens shos the earth as an entirely flat plane at that height. I guess you would really need to go into space and virtually out of low earth orbit to clearly see any real curvature as the planet just is not that damn small to see from a low flying commercial jet period!
But in end... the Earth is a flying ball in space! :)
thanks for the info @leedsrulz
One of my many questions just got solved. Good post
