Apple has just released iOS 11.3. It is the third major update for the iOS 11 operating system released in September. And even though it is an interim update: you do not want to miss it!

This is new in iOS 11.3:
The new Battery Condition function gives you more influence on the speed of your iPhone. Apple will cut back the speed of the device when the battery becomes obsolete. You can prevent that now. The function is still in beta, so it is still being edited.
For iPhone X users, four new Animoji are added: a lion, a bear, a dragon and a skull.
Before you update ...
In general, iOS updates are pretty flawless. Back up your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch in advance. This way you can be sure that you will not be faced with surprises.
Open the Settings app on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch and tap 'iCloud'. Scroll down and choose 'Backup'. Then tap "Back up now". If the switch is green, it probably already happened. Make sure you are on a Wi-Fi network.

Do you want to download the update on your iPhone or iPad? Open the Settings app and go to 'General> Software update'. Or, in the search window above the Settings menu, look for 'software'; then you will also find the update.
