Just curious....No way I lived in DC for three years. Well, in Bethesda as my dad was seconded there for his job, from South Africa. I was so luck, went to this really good private school called St. Albans for 6th and 7th grade. 5th grade was in Woodacres Elementary in Bethesda. Made real good friends there, was a bit sad when I had to move to private school.
I'm from the other side, Northern Virginia. Vienna to be specific. I know the places you are talking about, but I haven't been back since I moved away in 1998, except for a funeral in 2002, and a visit in 2013 to housesit for some friends for a couple weeks. It remains a small planet!
Why did you move away?
Honestly? That was like 50 jobs, 6 states, 2 wives and 20 years ago. I don't really remember.
