I like physical teardowns of mechanical assemblies. Pretty cool.

Must be a pretty sensitive assembly to work on, just looking at the variable vane bits made me think its rather tight on tolerances.

Yes, it is very interesting to work on. Especially disassembling is a walk on the edge. Apply too much force and the wrong parts will start to bend or break.
