Facebook has made a major update on the world's largest social networking site.
Mark Zuckerberg, founder and chief executive of the site, said the changes would take time to be available to everyone, and that subscribers would begin to see less content from companies, publishers, and more friends and relatives gradually.
Mark added that the user page that he sees when logged in "News Feed" will give priority to "meaningful social interactions" at the expense of other content, meaning that the site will focus on displaying the contents of friends more than pages and companies.
He stressed that this update will reduce the time spent by participants on the site and will become more valuable.
The site warned Facebook pages that they would see a decline in the number of their publications, resulting in a decrease in traffic to sites and videos
