Japan's ProPilot Park Ryokan combines traditional Japanese hospitality with Nissan's latest technology for self-driving, providing state-of-the-art technology for the comfort of its guests: self-contained slippers, tables and pillows.
These vehicles are equipped with Nissan's ProPilot Park technology, which is used to auto-park to allow these vehicles to return to their places once they are finished at the touch of a button.
At first glance, the hotel is as traditional as any other hotel of the same style, or the so-called "Ryokan" in Japanese. The slippers are automatically lined up at the entrance to the hotel on a regular basis, in the manner of hotels in Japan, ready to be replaced by hotel guests with their shoes as soon as the lobby enters. In addition, the rooms and halls of the hotel, known as the "Tatami" in Japanese tradition, have tables and floor mats that are self-moving just for the person to sit down.
ProPilot Park was first used in the all-new Nissan Life in October 2017. Its concept is to sense the objects surrounding the car and help the driver to line up in the right place. The same technology is used by guests and guests of the ProPilot Park Hotel RioCan, providing the entertainment element and reducing the workload of the hotel's hospitality staff.
