Online shopping had its critics as well. Back in 1996, Time magazine reported that shopping from home wouldn’t go anywhere. “Remote shopping, while entirely feasible, will flop — because women like to get out of the house, like to handle merchandise, like to be able to change their minds.” It's funny, when Amazon first arrived on the scene, people dismissed it as a mediocre book seller. Just look at their stock price today!
