1. MIT fed an AI data from Reddit, and now it only thinks about murder (the Verge)
An AI named Norman performed image captioning on a subreddit that is focused on death. Norman was then given a Rorschach test, and the AI always described some sort of violent act. As expected you feed something death data it will think about death. I wonder what happens when an AI consumes the entirety of human content and the conclusions it comes to.
2. Malaysian Men Have a Dangerous Obsession with Viagra-Laced Coffee (Vice)
"These beverages contain illegal materials like Viagra or Cialis which need to be registered," Ismail told VICE. “They are scheduled poisons, as far as the Ministry of Health is concerned. It can only be prescribed through a doctor." -Vice
People are under the impression that they are taking natural herbs, but they are given strong drugs. I wonder how many people are aware that they are getting viagra, and this is a cheaper alternative. 3. Nuro’s Driverless Cars Don’t Have to Worry About Passenger Safety (Bloomberg Business)
Self-driving cars that deliver food. I wonder what happens when the car can't find your address. Does the car call you?
They call the little vehicle the R1, and I think it's cute. It kind of looks like a giant vacuum. It could double as a street cleaning device as it delivers pizza. This would be a great marketing point.
Imagine something the size of a food truck that has robotic arms making pizzas, then imagine tiny little cars dispatched from the food truck that deliver your food. This could eliminate the need for a physical store front.
Now imagine this thing turning into a transformer and walking up several flights of stairs to deliver your goods.
