Bitcoin: A Tale of Few Pities

Bitcoin: A Tale of Few Pities

I personally enjoy it when people open their mouth about things they don't know about. I even like to give it a try from time-to-time. This interest of mine also includes Bitcoin and people's ignorant and unwarranted disgust for the volunteer #Bitcoin Core Development Team. The same amazing team who brought you years of an amazing network are also working hard to bring you #UASF (User Activated Soft-Fork) #BIP148 in addition to other pending Bitcoin Improvement Proposals. It's also important that many developers of this great team have also left because they felt their ideas were better... We'll be exploring those better solutions in this article.

Let's compare the competency of the FUD warrior teams by using one of the most important indicators in the world of network health: Network Up Time and Node Stability. Before diving into this comedic spank bank article that is technical tragedy porn, let's take a look at what a stable Bitcoin network looks like, and why the Bitcoin Core Development Team is great at building and maintaining the software of the entire Earth's most valuable cryptographic currency network. This comparison will focus specifically on the more well known code forks that want to Hard-Fork the network (aka. permanently split the network by force) because ICO and ICO Classic just wasn't a lesson learned.

Development Team Bitcoin Core

Background:
Builds the software that runs roughly 80% of the current Bitcoin Network and has been doing so since the very first version.

Notable Achievements:
Bitcoin

Development Team Bitcoin-ABC

Background:
Who? More people who want to Hard-Fork?

Notable Achievements:

Development Team Bitcoin XT

Background:
Premature BIP101 adoption

Notable Achievements:
Hard-Forking before the rest of the Bitcoin network. It should be noted that the orignal network didn't Hard-Fork.

Development Team Bitcoin Classic

Background:
Basically it's Bitcoin XT and involves BIP109 via the same key figure behind Bitcoin XT. Roughly a year or so difference between historical chart data between the two but, the chart says it all.

Notable Achievements:
Capitalized on two failed ideas using the same person.

Development Team Bitcoin Unlimited

Background:
Roger K Ver, Shitoshi Dundee, Bitmain, Jihan gee huan, created or is backing this fork.
