The P9 is built with aluminium and it's thin. A phone that is thinner than 7 milimeters is not something we see everyday.
It consists of a Kirin 955 processor and it's fast, the Samsung S7 is a top model with a much steeper price and there is not much difference between them in Geekbench.
What made me choose this phone was the camera, this is my first mobile phone with two cameras on the back. One camera takes photos in color, the other in black&white. The idea behind this is when combining these two the camera will focus on objects quicker and would be able to take sharper pictures.
The software for the camera is something that surprised me, as a amateur i have never been able to shoot real good looking pictures. But with the P9's pro mode and some reading i could finally take pictures i am proud of.
Here are some of the pictures i've taken so far with the P9.
Battery life is something that many are concerned of when choosing a new phone, the p9 does not bring anything revolutionary with it's battery saving settings or the capacity of the battery that consist of 3.000 mAh.
For me on normal usage it holds about a day, if i take a lot of pictures during the day i may have to charge it during the late afternoon/early evening.
The screen on the Huawei P9 is 5.2 inches and the resolution is 1080p. Many new phones comes with 4K-screens so why Huawei decided to stick with 1080p for the P9 is a question i've been asking myself. It is most likely done to hold the price down.
The P9 will cost you about 620$ but as far im concerned it's well spent money, i have never been happier about a phone before.
So, people of steemit.
What phone do you have, and are you happy with it?
What phone would you choose if you could buy a new phone now?
Huawei P9 really looks appealing to me, aesthetic design and aluminum unibody makes it one of the unique devices out there.. and with 7 milimeters of thickness and 4K display I would definitely consider this device if I buy new one
The p9 does not have 4K but 1080p, but still. It's an amazing phone and the building quality have the standards of a much more expensive device.
I highly recommend it.
thanks for the correction but as you said it is still a premium device.....
