2017 was a great year for ICO. $3.7 Billion dollars has been raised through ICO. 2018 looks even more interesting for ICO. Already raised $1.7 Billion through ICO. Silicon Valley investors are rallying to invest in Telegram ICO. Telegram could be the star of 2018. It seems that 2018 would be the biggest year for ICO.

Telegram is getting big investors backup. Though it is already successful by raising a staggering amount of 1.7 billion dollar, we can not predict its future success.

Recently, Iranian Cyberspace Authority Says Telegram’s Upcoming Crypto Threatens National Currency. It looks funny to me. How a ICO can threatens national security?

Hassan Firouzabadi, the secretary of the HCC (High Council of Cyberspace) – a policymaking body whose members are appointed by Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has said that -

“Telegram is not a dominant messenger in any country except for Iran. Telegram has officially announced that it will be used as an economic platform, and Telegram will undermine the national currency of Iran.”

He also added that Telegram as an “enemy of the private sector,”

"We predict that this money's lifetime is 10 years, and during this period, approximately $50 billion will be withdrawn from the country. But if the price of [this virtual money] declines overnight, people will protest why there wasn't any monitoring of it." Source
