With a jump of 15.37 meters, the Venezuelan athlete Yulimar Rojas received the title in the 2019 World Athletics World Cup in Doha to get her two-time championship in the triple jump specialty and establish the third best mark in history.
Rojas, an Olympic medalist in Rio 2016, won the gold medal in his second attempt by jumping 15.37 meters, a record that was enough to be imposed on the Jamaican Shanieka Ricketts (14.92) and the Colombian Caterine Ibargüen (14.73) respectively.
With this title, the 23-year-old Creole conquers her fourth world championship and the second outdoors after the one achieved in London 2017 and the indoor track won at Portland 2016 and Birmingham 2018.
After the competition, the Anzoatiguense will focus on breaking the record of the Ukrainian Inessa Kravets, in addition to certifying its classification for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
