We have come a long way in the past few months and like always I want to thank the amazing community members & fellow developers that has helped all this happen. I cannot express how happy this makes me as an indie dev to see so much chatter and the community building about what started as just an idea a few months ago!
It has been two weeks since my last update as I went on a family vacation & then need some time to wrap up the NFT release that I had started to go over in the last devlog and I am happy to say that today is the DAY that NFTs will be live in the Terracore universe!
Starting today you will be able to purchase common crates from the item store in-game!
CRATES
Terracore will have two types of nfts:
- crates
- items
Crates can be found in game on various planets when a users unlocks them via favor requirements, there is also a new stat gained from staking SCRAP that will increase your chance of getting crate drops from the daily events.
Common Crates can be purchased starting today and work with a peggin mechanism to help support the in game economy of SCRAP you can see the current price of crates here:

The basic premise is based of the 48 Hour AVG Hive Engine Price of SCRAP with a floor of 100 SCRAP so the price of crates can get more expensive and act as a game token sync if needed.
Crates are an important feature in the game of TerraCore, providing players with a randomized item-drop system that allows for the acquisition of valuable resources and equipment. Crates come in a variety of rarities, with different drop rates depending on their level of rarity.
The rarities of crates include common, uncommon, rare, epic, and legendary.
All other rarities of crates can only be obtained through gameplay or on the marketplace from other players, such as on planets or through special game events or bosses. Crates are also tradeable on the game's marketplace, allowing players to exchange them with other players.
Each crate contains one item, which can be a valuable resource or piece of equipment that can aid players in their journey through the post-apocalyptic world of TerraCore. With the randomized drop system of crates, players never know what they may find, adding an exciting element of chance to the game.
ITEMS
NFTs in this game can only be obtained from opening crates, and they have a direct impact on your character's stats. These NFTs come in different rarities, ranging from common to legendary. The drop table for each crate determines the rarity of the NFT you will receive, with more common NFTs being more likely to drop than rarer ones.
When you open a crate, the rarity of the NFT you receive is determined by a roll based on the drop table. For example, if you open a common crate, there is a 90% chance that you will receive a common NFT, a 9% chance of receiving an uncommon NFT, and so on. Each rarity can roll different attributes to boost your character's stats, such as damage, defense, engineering, dodge, crit, and luck.
Items can be burnt/salvaged for the total amount of stats on an item.

It's worth noting that the rarity of the NFT you receive doesn't affect the power-up costs. However, the rarer the NFT, the more valuable it is to collectors and players looking to improve their character's stats. Legendary NFTs are particularly valuable because they can roll any of the six attributes, making them highly sought after.
Marketplace
The marketplace is a brand new smart contract on Hive I have developed over the past few weeks and will be closed source for the first few months. All of the NFTs & functions are on the HIVE blockchain and will be updated in the Wiki post launch.
All transactions on the marketplace are subject to 5% fees (2.5% to @terracore & 2.5% to the 3rd part marketplace)

This is what I have been waiting for. NFT's are here and they can be bought with scrap to help the game economy by adding a sink. Time to lock and load, make sure to claim your scrap before I lighten your load.

I came right, found the place.
I note, sometimes when I fight, my number of battles to be fought goes down, but, it does not show in the battles that I won anything. Is this an issue, or does it simply mean, I lost the fight?
