Hello Fellow Citizens!
I hope everyone had a great weekend! I want to make it a point to at least put out one devlog a week, even if there aren't a ton of changes, because there is always something being worked on even though it might not be visible in changes. This is the weird thing about development. It might take weeks of watching after major updates to make sure everything is going 100% according to plan, and unexpected things come up along the way that you guys as a community bring up, which I don't always think about when building new systems.
Game Design Updates
I have been working on a slight redesign of the official Terracore front end in my free time to attempt to make its overall appearance look a bit cleaner and easier to read. I will be switching up some fonts to try to bring the feel more in line with the space-like vibes that are developing. Also, everything that is numbered is now in a block font that is much easier to read.
There are some other things getting changed, like Button Design, as well as other GUI labels and changes. You can see some images below; these are not yet live and will be pushed on the next release.
Official Logo Design
Last week, I found a graphic designer who had a portfolio that I had been looking for to create the official logo for Terracore. Some of you may have never noticed, but we are so early on that we have not even gotten that far yet! I will release more details, sketches, and the final logo soon when it is completed, as it is going to be hand-drawn and painted. (I am super excited about this!) The most important parts of the logo for me were for it to convey the style and story of our game, as well as looking great on digital prints and clothing, as that is how it will be used the most.
Quest Mode Progress
I don't want to give away too much here yet, but you can expect one of the next two updates to be all about quests! A majority of my development time is being spent here at the moment, and I am really excited about the new play options it is going to bring to the game!
