Owning the Cybertruck has been a mix of excitement, innovation, and, of course, some frustration. The cost of the vehicle still nags at me at times, but I remind myself that true innovation comes at a price. The encouraging part is that Tesla continues to refine and develop the product, pushing improvements even after delivery. Seeing ongoing software updates and new features roll out reassures me that this investment is part of something bigger.
Along with the email, Tesla sent me a short survey, which I took a few minutes to complete. I made sure to provide constructive feedback, particularly on areas where I see room for improvement. The cost remains a big consideration for many, and the delays in delivering full self-driving have been a sticking point for early adopters like myself. While I do think Tesla is still miles ahead of the competition, the global auto market is evolving rapidly. Other manufacturers are finally stepping up, and competition is only going to get fiercer.
With inflation being an ongoing concern, Tesla will need to find the right balance between cost and value to maintain its lead. For now, I’ll continue enjoying the ride—literally and figuratively—and keeping an eye on how the industry shapes up in the years to come.
