RE: hello!

@johngreenfield who is/was @camillesteemers? Do you know why people are creating spam accounts like this one for the primary purpose of flagging legitimate, possibly random posts? I'd really like to know. I am switching a bit to the offensive lately now that I am seeing more signs of abuse of steem.

Thanks. @creativetruth

Hey @creativetruth,
They are the one bad apple that'll ruin the bunch. A couple of months ago, @abusereports and myself spotted that they were posting other peoples work without so much as a credit, they were warned but decided to continue. Since then, they've been setting up countless accounts to flag everyone they come into contact with. It's a really weird situation, but luckily Steemit themselves undelegated their SP, so their flags are now worth literally zero $0.000.

I've written a couple of posts about them and what we can all do to protect ourselves which you might find interesting:

Sorry, those posts do go on a fair bit! There are some really great users who have already setup bots that counter @camillesteemer (and their dummy accounts) automatically. I hope this helps! Take it easy
