Do you ever have a day where things may have gone terribly wrong? Such as ruining a loved stuffed animal of your infant child?

Our son had one of these given to him when he was born and he loved the thing, up until the bad day happened it was dropped in an oil catch tub on our rushed way out the door. It was unbelievably hard on my wife because she was the one who dropped it. You ask her about it today, and she will respond with some kind of terrible feeling.
You're probably wondering what this has to do with the title, "Stop and Thank," well it is these unfortunate moments when we can really find comfort in being thankful for the small things (or big things). In our house we include our thanks in our nightly prayers and throughout the day.
1 Thessalonians 5:18 tells us, "Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus." This is a great reminder through each day, the good and the bad, we have things to be thankful for.
So stop and say thanks, for the job you have, the shelter over your head, and the food in your belly. Be grateful for it all, because in a moments notice it can all be taken away, just as it was for our sons monkey, that one second accident removed that item of comfort from his life. Disasters can strike at any time and remove jobs, homes, food, clothes, but one thing that can not be taken away is the love God has for you and His plan for you, so stop and say thanks!
