Good on you!
You know, with or without Steemit, I will continue taking pictures, I will continue researching issues, I will continue writing my fiction. Even with the tiny rewards made by we minnows, it's still more money than I'm making elsewhere on the same things - even being well-established on RedBubble and Zazzle/CafePress... So, I figure this is well worth investing time in.
And heck, I won 20 WhaleShares this morning on that lotto @thedarkhorse was mentioning somewhere... now, just have to get past the BitShare signup bug and I can actually claim them!
So true, at least we are making something here, even if it is pennies...for now. I have faith that our time invested here will pay off.
I just won some WhaleShares the other day, but am finding it difficult to find somewhere that supports Canada when you sign up? Let me know if you figure it out please :)
My suspicion is that the easiest thing for you would be to still do openledger.io (same group as Bitshare, but doesn't have the signup bug I found on Bitshare.) Use USD and exchange that on another platform...
cryptonator looks promising and definitely mentions CAN...
Anyway good luck with that.
Also, I just started a conversation in the pub about whaleshares - I'm very much underwhelmed by it so far!
Thanks for the info, and yes, I just caught the conversation there. I could definitely sense your underwhelmed-ness :)
I had a better response on cryptoempire. (Though if there's finally been replies in the past hour, I haven't looked yet as I'm watching shows on the machine I do Discord on.) Someone in cryptoempire actually suggested that the best thing might be to sell. But someone else is going to give me a link tomorrow - giving other suggestions.
When a 100% vote can be bought for 100 whaleshares and yields only about 2 SBD, yet the same whaleshares could sell for $65 US, there seems to be a "problem."
I will share what I find out tomorrow.
You're right, something doesn't seem quite right. I saw where someone offered you a link tomorrow; that's where I jumped in to ask you to forward it to me if you wouldn't mind.
Thanks for the info...again !
Cool. I will do so.
I admit that at the moment whaleshares feels like an upvote bot which never gives back as much as you put in.
