From this month, the World Trade Center Asunción lights its lights to promote the voluntary donation of organs, blood and bone marrow. The campaign is promoted with the aim of increasing the awareness in the population about the importance of giving life.
The campaign had already been carried out on other occasions by the World Trade Center (WTC) Asunción, in order to raise awareness among the population and increase the number of donors in Paraguay.
Night by night, the lights in the towers of the WTC are lit in all their splendor with the colors that identify the causes, to raise awareness of the importance of being voluntary donors.
Among the colors that can be seen shining in the frame of the campaign are the green color, which represents the donation of organs, and which will remain lit until the 12th of this month.
Then it will be the turn to red, in honor of the blood that will flood the towers from September 13 to 23. Finally, from the 24th to the 30th of this month, the orange color will be imposed in reference to the donation of bone marrow and the fight against Leukemia.
In addition, as part of the awareness-raising activities, on September 10 there will be a blood donation day on the 10th floor of Tower 2.
The campaign is called #SeamosDonantes and is organized by the World Trade Center in conjunction with the Carlos Chytil Foundation to fight against leukemia, in addition to the Ministry of Health through the National Institute of Ablation and Transplantation (INAT), the National Blood Program and the Hematology Unit of the IPS. All activities will be free and open access.
The WTC last year had already made registration days to the register of voluntary organ and tissue donors of the INAT and also the registration to the list of blood donors.
