A SACRED COW THAT MUST GO

In a bible school class this morning, I had to deal with questions which arose on the term "fathers".
We all saw five key issues

  1. Plurality of fathers was for the Jews, and it wasn't a spiritual status
  2. What the church practiced was elders, which was specifically in local churches
  3. There was no such body called "the fathers" in the body of Christ
  4. Father or spiritual father is not more than one person, like Paul’s examples with Timothy and churches he founded
  5. The use of "fathers" was foisted on the church in Nigeria and Africa via an imposed African patriarchal system which isn't scriptural but cultural.
Whilst men and women of age and experience should be respected for same, but that's all to it, no scripture supports adulating a man who perpetrates and perpetuates error, falsehood and materialism.
This is one sacred cow used to scare folks from discernment.
It's never going to last further, let those ganging up know, they are wasting their time,
Peddlers have lost respect with those who love Jesus,
Younger folks NO LONGER honor materialism,
They no longer do "full time" as they work for their living and don't have regard especially for wealth acquired via false teaching and ignorance of parishioners...
Younger folks see true and real miracles and so don't get moved by such...
They neither have allure for crowds so enticed, rather they keep reaching multitudes and crowds looking for Christ are coming and will keep coming
See, times have changed, stop wasting your money, go and learn and change.
Jesus is reigning all over Africa, amen SACRED COW THAT MUST GO

Death to the cows, great point. Thanks for clarifying terms and misunderstandings so often seen in churches today.

Upvoted, please do the same with one of my posts. All the best!
