holi is a hindu spring festival celebrated in the india knon as the" festvil of colours"ar" festival of love" 
the festival signifes the victory of god over evil.the holi is the celebrated at the end of winter,on the day after full moon.every year on the eve of holi,large bonfires are lit to mark occasion and evil sprits,this is know as holika dahan occasion of (pradosh kaal) when day and night meet - start from the time of sunset. the prahlad was saved due to his devotion to lard vishnu, proteced him,when holika attempted to carry out her dema king brother's wish to born his son prahlad in the fire. holika was carred to death and prahald survived.
