Book Review: Chapter 1: (Pages 1-30): Santiago ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I will break my review in 2 parts.
- The Summary & Review of (page 1-30) of the book.
- Lessons from this part of the book.
This part begins the book with "Santiago" a shepherd boy in an abandoned church where he lays down to rest with his flock of sheep.
Santiago isn't just a Shepherd boy, he is a Shepherd who knows how to read and is following his dreams of travelling the world, seeing beautiful places, palaces, women and also learn more ways to be happy.
Once his peasant family longed for him to become a priest, he actually went to the seminar but in his soul, he knew he wanted to see the world and had to tell his father who finally let him go for his dreams.
At this stage of the book, he is in love, with a beautiful merchant's daughter far away in the regions of Andalusia, close to another town called Tarifa.
He has a soul-bond relationship with his sheep, whom he shared his journey's stories, but at this time, the merchant's daughter is what he speaks most about.
His love for his flock is like God's love for His faithful children, once he lost a sheep and spends the whole next day looking for it. Santiago is a typical example of Psalm 23, The lord is my shepherd, and in his case, his beloved are his sheep, except the merchant's daughter is most beloved in his heart now.
This part where my review breaks end, he goes to see a woman who can interpret dreams to explain the same dream, he dreamt twice in the abandoned church.
The repeated dream is Santiago playing with his flock in the field & a child comes to him amidst the flock, suddenly holds his hands & transports him to the Egyptian Pyramid to show him that there hid his hidden treasures.

LESSONS OF THE ALCHEMIST (Pg 1-30)
It was as if some mysteriousenergy bound his life to that of thesheep. (Like God's bond with his children)
It was a pleasant change "talking to the merchant's daughter" from talkingto his sheep. (The difference between God's conversation with a most beloved & a beloved)
He recognized that he wasfeeling something he had neverexperienced before: the desire to live inone place forever with #The #Girl. (A deep connection/relationship feeling with God & His Most beloveds)
The shepherdurged his sheep in the direction of the sun. (You can caption this🤗)
THE LESSONS OF THE SHEPHERD & HIS SHEEP ARE QUITE MANY, YOU WILL LOVE TO READ YOURSELF.
The jacket had a purpose, and so did
the boy. His purpose in life was totravel. (Everything has a purpose) each day has a purpose.🤔.Santiago's conversion with his father has so many lessons on its own (how people pass through the fields of life, only few listen to their purpose & follow their dreams)🤔
It's the possibility of having a dreamcome true that makes life interesting.
Santiago have had the same dream twice. (Do you have a seemingly impossible dream always reoccurring in your imagination??? It is not just a dream or imagination, it is a revelation)🚶♂🚶♂🚶♂
"And dreams are the languageof God" (He speaks this dream through the language of our soul. 🤔#IMAGINATION, as well as, the language of the world. 🤔#SIGNS & #SEASONS.)
I END BY QUOTING PAULO COELHO, THE AUTHOR.👇 ________________________________________
It's the simple things inlife that are the most extraordinary;only wise men are able to understand them.
