I wrote articles that I thought were quality enough to draw others to them. I thought quality posts were strong enough to stand on their own merit. They aren't.
Markdown - oh heavens - I'm still getting formatting glitches, especially when I post side-by-side photos, and text sneaks in between them, and the break indicators, *** or --- , show up, along with # bold for headers.
I waste more time formatting and hyperlinking than I do writing.
And for what? A dozen upvotes, a comment or two here and there.
I joined PAL early on, and a dozen other Discord groups, but there's no way I can keep up with the traffic. I used to try. :)
Thanks for sharing all these pointers. You're right about being consistent.
