I was glad to read this posts along with sone of the other links. I was also glad to see @thealliance. :) I felt at home then. The articles gave me new pieces of the puzzel I am putting together here. UV resteemed. Nice to meet you. Peace.

Thanks for dropping by!

There are some good tips in my post. Which one according to you, is the most useful?

It was more about how I learn. I am a couple months in and still feel lost in terms of the mechanics of how it works. I can do the basic posting and commenting but don't understand the money part or which actions create value. I get the basic idea that I should create content and make thoughtful comments. I watched my little account go from $150 to $111 ($ value) in a week and do not understand why. I wonder if I am commenting or voting too much or something. Your post reminded me that long term the more profound issues are more important than the mechanics which I will eventually learn (I hope). :) You gave me some hope and reminded me to focus on relationships more than numbers. Thank you.

The account value may fluctuate according to the different values of Steem.

While the idea is to blog, comment and participate, it is important to know the mechanics as well. When I was new I made it a point to search for information, most of which is on Steemit itself(where else!).

Whenever you are in doubt or need more information on any aspect of Steemit, use the search function on top using relevant keywords e.g. "account value" using the example in your post.
