You could not be more wrong. That is the economy.
Creators create and users contribute and they get rewarded for it.
The more someone adds to the ecosystem, be that via quality content, offchain contributions, dev work, the more they get out of it and Steem is thus distributed into more hands which drives the economy further.
Its not "giving away money". That is a very misleading statement that doesnt describe what happens on Steem at all.
Calling Steem a place where "they give away money" is disingenuous and one of the stupidest things you can say.
...and that coming from a witness of all people.
