I would think that a price increase would attract more attention. Existing users might want to get more at a "lower price," but people get attracted to things that are going up. I'm sure there will be many swings (up and down) over time with STEEM, particularly while it is newer.
I saw a trending up few days ago. I think we'll have more of those. I know a lot of people who are doing their part powering up and believing in steemit.
