Going back to the beginning of our #TheLongestTrip, I want to talk about our walk around the old church in Budapest, on the way to the famous Fisherman's Bastion. To get there, we took the metro, which runs deep under the Danube River, and moved from the more modern part of the city, called Pest, to ancient Buda.
The Reformed Church in Buda, made in the Romanesque-Gothic style
After leaving the subway, we looked at the other side of the river, where the famous Hungarian Parliament House was very beautifully visible.
We came to Battjani Square
is a city square in Budapest. It is located on the Buda side of the Danube directly opposite the Hungarian Parliament building. It is named after Lajos Battiani, the first prime minister of Hungary.
Buda impresses with its ancient architecture. We spent some time in the square, looking at the beautiful church and ancient buildings...
It was a beautiful, warm autumn and we were taking a leisurely walk... After walking a few tens of meters, we suddenly noticed a very beautiful church!
The walls of the building are made of orange bricks, which look fascinatingly bright in the sunlight. Multifaceted domes, original mosaics on the walls. The round windows are made in blue color, which is especially beautifully combined with the orange walls... If you walk around the church, then you can get great photos of the architectural masterpiece from different angles.
We stayed at this beautiful church building for half an hour, walking around and looking at every element of the beautiful neo-gothic style in which this architectural masterpiece is made...
There is a monument near the church.
We stopped and I read on wikipedia about this outstanding person:
Pecz Samu (Hungarian: Pecz Samu); Austrian Empire, September 1, 1922, Budapest. Hungarian architect, teacher, art professor.
My soul was filled with the beauty of this beautiful historic church. I am glad that time and historical events have not destroyed these architectural masterpieces that future generations can enjoy.

We walked up the quiet, unique streets of ancient Buda, in the direction of Fisherman's Bastion. This city is a legacy of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, under whose rule my native city of Lviv was also. Many buildings are similar and I feel like I am at home.
Once upon a time, living in Lviv, I liked to walk among historical buildings, photographing their unique balconies. I even created a column about balconies. Therefore, I stopped and looked with pleasure at the balcony with carved railings and original stucco.

I think I didn't notice this church around the parliament. The colour and the shape of the church seems very beautiful.
This church is not near the parliament, but opposite the parliament, on the other side of the Danube.
