HAWAIIAN SHIRTS, my new thing ๐Ÿ˜Ž

Hawaiian Shirts for concealed carry gun coverage...
I'm currently carrying at 6 o'clock, using a lefty clip on IWB holster and aiming the barrel between my butt cheeks. Not a problem, as I'm carrying with an empty chamber. But I believe I like the 6 o'clock pretty well anyway.

Here I am, wearing my flowered Hawaiian shirt today, July 16th, 2022 and I just got back from my daughter's birthday dinner. Yes, I bought her meal ๐Ÿ˜‹ She had the same thing as I did, hibachi Steak and Scallops. Here's the food being prepared...

I sat very comfortably the whole time, it's just a newer micro 9mm, Springfield Armory Hellcat, with a RomeoZero RDS. Fits the cheap leather clip on holster I'm running, tightly but releases smoothly, despite good retention. I will likely get a custom kydex paddle holster for this gun, and just use the current one with the G43x which it's rated for. Here's the SA Hellcat in the holster...

...and out, looking thru the RDS.

Carrying is pretty easy, it shoots pretty well too. I was trying to hit a steel spinner target, 4" diameter, at 8 yards. Didn't hit it every time, (YET!) but every shot was close enough that it was definitely center mass in a body sized silhouette target. Which is what they teach in self-defense training. I'm equally proficient with the G43x (glock) but I feel like I need constant training at this point. Once a week at least!

I am thinking about a series of EDC posts, gun, knife, and light. It will be a bit gun-heavy, as I have more firearms than knives or lights, combined ๐Ÿ˜น๐Ÿ˜น๐Ÿ˜น But that's what we're here for!!

Wearing my Hawaiian shirt, carrying a gun, I have thought about the old series Magnum P.I. and knowing her love for all things Hawaiian, I fancied myself on an adventure with @silversaver888 on the streets and in the Jungles of Maui or another Island in Paradiseโฃ๏ธ I believe this shirt has the hibiscus ๐ŸŒบ flowers, but I may be wrong ๐Ÿ˜น

All we need now is a BBQ pit, a pig with an apple in it's mouth and a mystery to solve!!

I like this format, a topic, pix to back it up, and a side topic like a Hawaii road trip ๐Ÿ˜€

I shall try amd incorporate the EDC in a similar fashion!

Looking forward to your upcoming posts. I've also often carried in a 4 or 6 o'clock position. The 6 o'clock works especially well for larger pistols. The only difficulty I've found with it is if I need to use a public restroom. I nearly always wear button fly Levi's and it's just easier to start with the buttons from the top, which then tends to drop the back down due to the weight and oops there is the weapon hanging out for others to see. 6 o'clock is still my fav for a quick tuck of the sticky holster, but I've started really liking a specific type of belly band that holds my Sig P365 at a canted angle. It has a hard Kydex shell for the weapon, (not just a neoprene slip in). It fits well and comfortably either with a front position or side, and I can easily adjust it to wear with it partially hidden in waistband, or as I more often do, just above the belly almost like a chest holster.. It rides low enough to be below the buttons on a shirt or jacket and easy enough to reach coming from under the shirt due to the canted angle (not a fan of the straight up models). The thing I like the most is it is extremely comfortable and easy to reach when sitting at table, in car, ATV, etc. Maybe I'll post some pics of it, if I get over my self-conscious belly bloat.. lol

Thx for the info. KSTEEEM!!!
I'm still learning, adjusting, getting comfortable and all that. I just got lucky to get these 2 small carry guns, if I were specifically shopping for one I'd likely get the Sig P565XL or an S&W micro9.

How do you like your Sig? I have at least one Sig, and have shot a few more, and in my eyes a Sig Sauer is easily one of the finest handguns on Earth... but I need to try the P365.

I LOVE the Sig P365. It quickly became my go-to carry weapon. Very accurate for it's size, and simple to take down/clean. I stayed with the smaller original and not the XL specifically to keep it small. My hands are just medium so it works just fine. I typically carry with the 10 round mag + pinky extension + the MagGuts spring so I still get 11 +1 for carry. It came with the X-Ray sights which are decent. I had the Laser on it for while, but too many holster limits, so took it off. I do not like the SAS. My son bought one (even after me telling him not too... kids don't listen). A lot of folks like the XL, but I've got plenty of larger guns if I want to go that way.

Great positive review!! I don't need one, but I'd like to start checking them out LOL
