The Power Of Sound - Post #20

Here, I share with you the music I've come across that has a certain quality to it, rare and elusive. The kind of music that moves you so deeply in a way that you can't understand or describe. The lyrics or music or video may make no sense to your brain, but it does to your soul. It's beautifully cathartic and inspiring.

Artist: mind.in.a.box

Song: Lightforce

A friend sent me this song recently when we got to talking about German industrial EDM. Lightforce, a remake of a song from a Commodore 64 game, is a wonderful example of the kind of nostalgia that electronic music can evoke in us. I haven't even played the game that this particular song comes from, nevertheless, it carries the spirit of synthwave/retrowave, and I feel right at home listening to it. Listening to this music takes one back to a happier time, a time that came and went too quickly in the name of "progress".

Countless musicians and artists all over the world have responded to our rushed development with a massive upsurge of retro-themed art in recent years. I too have been hugely inspired by the aesthetic of the 80s and 90s, even though I was born right before the turn of the millennium - and, having lived for a few weeks in 1999, I think it would be really cool if I can make it to 101 years old so my life can span 3 centuries!

Treat yourself today to this glimpse into the past that mind.in.a.box has given us. Let it warm your heart with fond memories of simpler times, and carry this warmth with you as you navigate our bizarre, chaotic modern world. Life is tough for everybody right now, but we will make it through this!

The time we live in is a time of great change, a monumental turning point in our history.

Things may look grim, but take comfort in the fact that there are positive forces at work for the greater good of humanity, much more than we know; it wouldn't be very helpful for those who want us kept in fear if, instead of documenting the bad and feeding us the idea of destruction and collapse, the media were to report all the good things that happen in the world!

This is a time of chaos, and when we see that, it's easy to assume the worst... but chaos brings change, and this change can be bad or good.

None of us individually can change the way things are in the big picture, but all of us individually can make positive changes in our own corners of the world. Even the smallest act of kindness can mean the world to someone. The more we stick together, support each other, and focus on love despite our differences, the stronger we will be.

None of us individually can change the world, but we can all make positive changes in ourselves, and the more we do this the more we will all move towards peace and healing - but don't burn yourself out! You don't have to fix everything at once. Work on what you can get done, and build momentum in the right direction. Soon, you'll be unstoppable.

Never give up hope.

Together we stand... divided we fall.
