I kinda doubt it's "shocking", sure a lot of rewards go to the top due to autovotes but looking at my feed and community feeds I'd say quite a lot of accounts get rewarded quite well compared to say the 99% on web2. With stake being distributed further and some people keeping it rather than dumping it'll mean more and more manual curators are created to attempt to combat the lazy autovoting that often leads to bad results because people are people and they want to farm those rewards on a daily basis once they get the voters.
