It's not as bad as it might seem to be a sheep. Despite being constantly abused by my sheepherder I still have my own little intimacy that I preserve.
Usually, we eat only leftovers from whatever farmers produce, after all the crops and vegetables been yielded and after we are done eating we march to the next field and so on. Then farmers use our shit to fertilize the soil and grow new food. It's a win-win situation in my modest opinion.
When they plant new seeds it's strictly forbidden for farm animals to approach the area, those who disobey get cruelly punished. A fellow sheep once got smacked with a stick so hard, that he died prematurely. We the animals - all do, unlike humans.
Nowadays humans die post maturely. Without even realizing it - they're nearing the point of becoming the ultimate masters of self. Unfortunately and against our will, we -are forcefully dragged along.
It's inevitable.
In the same way, as humans parted from the whole to define ego, managed to detach and elevate it above other egos. Self-proclaimed to be a reflection of God "HIMSELF" - they will have to come down in a bell shaped curve and realize that the stage for illusion is as important as an illusion.
Fortunately for everyone social and political change is alive and happening. Minds are settling, religious and social dogmas are dying out and they - humans are doing a great job in killing all the fake monotheistic gods that there are out there, spells that have been cast upon innocent and unsuspecting souls.
We the sheep do not have gods, nor can we be defined in a plural. A sheep and the sheep are the only available distinctions in the English language.
