I think this begging mentality needs to stop, especially within the African community.
This was partly the reason I stopped joining African oriented communities.
You weren't here to see my journey evolve, but I can tell you it wasn't an easy one. I started with blogs, writing reviews and managing a community or 2 before I started vlogging and what not.
The better part of my 7 months journey, I did atleast 4 posts a day. Back to back with very little rewards..probably less than $1 for all to be honest lol. But then again, I was happy and still I'm. Creating content more so writing had always been a great hobby, compared to my wordpress blog, steem was a no brainer the best option. I made no cents on wordpress even with my 1000's of followers.
I couldn't agree more with your message. I keep insisting on consistency & hard work (working smart is better), both go hand in hand. And if you enjoy your input, you will never feel like you are struggling to keep up. The thing is most people aren't patient and don't put in enough from my observations.
Funnily, I feel like you partly described my journey. I started vlogging on my phone myself before I could afford my camera. It's all part of the process. What is it that they say about that? Oh.. the journey is more important than the destination... or sth like that😄😊
