As it happens I'm doing a course in Jung. I sometimes get lost when it get too religious, I found the concept of synchronicity most fascinating. They say that once you start looking, more meaningful coincidences will become obvious. The universe (sometimes) responds to your inner conflicts, but, as you say, if you don't listen you won't hear/notice the answer.

Yes, I agree.
The concept has gained some popularity on the internet, and sometimes I don't know if I'm using it right or if I am overlooking something.
In my case it happens more in certain mental states when you become sensitive and aware of more subtle things that one would usually ignore. Sometimes I have come to realize the thing even some time later, because I initially overlooked it.
Hope you get to find some fun with the religious.
Good luck with your course!
I haven’t studied Jung directly but I think the idea of archetypes might make the religious stuff easier. Since all stories can have symbolic meanings that build on each other and weave meaning into our lives. You can find the “savior” archetype or “original sin” or “forbidden fruit” in lots of stories and personal narratives with a lot of the same themes, and so these symbols develops power over time.
So when people ask me if I’m religious, I kind of want to tell them I believe in the Book of ONE PIECE, and that I’m a student of Hanuman and Sun Wu Kong by way of Monkey D Luffy, among others like Guang Yin/Mother Mary in the form of people I’ve met….but I don’t want to alienate people right off the bat 😝
Or just pay attention to synchronicities, that’s enough to make life a lot more interesting!!
