Unless someone has enough RCs for a discounted account or can get a free one from somewhere, that is 3 Steem. What happens if demand increases 10-fold, 100-fold? If an application believes they can make 20 Steem worth of value from an average customer, what will they pay for an account when there is an account shortage?
Will there at some point be a market for Account Tickets that can be claimed with RC (on SteemWorld for instance)? Not actual accounts, but the tickets themselves.
As far as I know the tickets are not transferrable meaning the account needs to be created by the holder. However, I think there is a workaround for this where they go into the market and if bought, an account can be held in reserve and if created, the creation is automated through something like keychain. @yabapmatt or @aggroed might have a solution for this in mind already.

And yes, it would make sense to have a workaround for this so you could carry on claiming and have these tickets be available automatically by your chosen creation authority.
Demand is not outstripping supply at present, but if/when this starts to happen we are in business :)
