The LSU Tigers squared off against the Mississippi State Bulldogs Saturday night, winning the game 19-3. The Tiger defense holding them to a single field goal, picked off an interception in the 1st quarter taking it to the MissSt 3 yard-line, gave the oppurtunity for the offense to put 7 points on the board. The Bulldogs played decent defense only allowing 10 points in the first half and 9 in the second, but LSU's offense did just enough to stretch the field getting into field goal range, in which LSU kicker Cole Tracey had a perfect night going 4/4 in field goals with a long of 40.

Both teams struggled offensively, more-so the Bulldogs as they could not establish the passing game through the air. Nick Fitzgerald went 8-24 for 59 yards, 4 interceptions, but a decent 131 rushing yards. Mississippi State was only able to convert 2 of 14 3rd downs.

Joe Burrow has seen better days going 16-28 with no touchdowns and one interception. LSU's offense only converted 7 of 18 3rd downs and having 239 total yards for the night, but they got the win and that's all that matters at the end of the day.
