I wonder how many of the forgotten burial sites are due to the squirrel getting eaten? My dog and cats used to catch and eat them almost every day when we lived near some. (Not to put a darker side on the post. I really enjoyed it!)

that is probably a large percentage of it... squirrels don't have the longest life expectancy :)
