I was not self-aware

Once upon a time there was a mighty woodcutter. The lumberjack went to a lumber merchant looking for work. A lumber merchant saw his physique and immediately nominated him. The pay was really good and the working conditions were good. The lumber merchant gave him an ax and told him where to work. On the first day, the woodcutter took 18 trees. The master was very pleased and commended him for his efforts.

Encouraged by his master's words, the woodcutter worked hard the next day, but fell only 15 trees. On the third day, he tried even harder, but he was only able to bring back ten trees. Every day he brought less and less wood. The woodcutter thought he was losing his strength. He went to his boss and apologized that he didn't understand what happened.

"When was the last time you sharpened your ax?" asked the timber merchant.

The woodcutter replied, "Chop? I didn't have time to sharpen my ax. I'm too busy chopping wood..."

Our lives have become like the story above. We are so busy with our daily activities that we do not find time to work on our knowledge, learn new skills and sharpen our core.

How many of you have bought a self-help or motivational book, read 10-15 pages, and never finished?

I have been reading his book every week for the past year and a half and I can say that it has completely changed my life. I witnessed a 360 degree shift in thinking. I used to be very impatient, easily irritated and easily stressed, but now I am less impatient, easily irritated and easily stressed.

I didn't realize it, but I'm a little self-conscious now.

I have learned and practiced all this over a period of time, just learning from books.
