Topic: This Game gets Harder every Season... and I Love it!
It takes a truly masterful game of strategy (and the right opportunities for rewards) to keep me playing literally every day for over a year.
My old powerful Alpha teams are barely cutting it anymore, and I have to grind out hours and hours of battles to make it to Champion these days.
Tournaments? No way, Jose! Y'all are just too darn good. Maybe if I start renting some cards I'll join some of the tournaments and show you all what's up. ;)
What's my point? I like being continually challenged. As long as this game is too hard for me to be good at we're winning! Go Splinterlands!

Yeah you say it.
Splinterlands is a great game and i played every day since i started in December 2018.
It continues to evolve through the great work of the team and the ingenious community.
It took quite a while and a lot of booster packs to get to where I am now.
Unfortunately, my cards are not yet at Max Level, but it's not far to go.
However, I can argue in between against the big ones in the ranking matches. So I made it to the Champions League 3 for the first time last season. My current goal is to be in the top 100 in the current season.

Really hard right now to access in the Champions league, back in the first leagues I managed to be in Champions II with a lvl5 deck, nowadays that is totally impossible. Anyways the game is a lot more playable now, with many incentives in it...dailies, season end rewards, DEC, tournaments and the most promising now, the guilds, I'm excited with that new announced update.

Yep, totally agree.
There are no easy wins anymore... each victory needs to be earned.
As an example, I've lost to players ranked much lower than me, and beaten players in the top 10 or 20. With all the new cards, there are so many options to build a team these days (which is why i hate facing a team of rennyn, cocatrice, brownie sotf etc)
-> try something different people and enjoy the challenge rather than putting up whatever the current meta is (that's like playing blindfolded - how is that fun).

Yep, it has become incredibly hard. I really like it, as it has challenged me to become much better myself.
I am sure the game will go more and more in the direction of reading out the blockchain for the best data at the moment of team creation. What exactly we make with that data depends on person to person but it will make the game more and more diverse. Until then we have to break through the Prince Rennyn default teams with a lot of trial and error. Sometimes the teams are super predicatble when you play a top level player with a Rennyn and create a counter team. Sorry, @cyguy :P

You are right about the difficulties in battle as time pass.
The count down put even more pressure on when we choice our card.
I think it is time to prepare our battle before entering tournment.

Yes @chrisroberts that is true the game is getting more and more difficult. The new cards are creating more possible lineups and the additional people that keep streaming in and are building very nice decks seem to make it tougher and tougher each season. I agree the challenge is very cool and makes it know that you are working through a game that is in demand and not a cake walk, that is for sure.
