Native: a great impluse for growing communities

in #tokens6 years ago

¿What it means to be a native? According to Oxford Living Dictionaries, is:

“A person born in a specified place or associated with a place by birth, whether subsequently resident there or not.”
Definition

In this case, a platform called Native is associated with the communities and their improvement. It born out of the necessity of creates diverse associations, which can value and operate their own tokens. Thus Native offer their technical knowledge and economic expertise, through several templates and decision-maker tools for creating blocks inside their platform. In consequence, those communities can actively participate in all the rising cryptocurrency economy, no matter if they aren’t skilled in that theme.

The fact that is easy-to-use, present an opportunity to people who haven’t a formation in business or economy, and just want to bring together other people who have the same interest. Maybe you can meet long-distance friends united by a common matter, or reinvent yourself as a leader inside the community you just create. And also you can make money while you enjoy talking and formulating strategies to develop projects that fit in your life.

How Native works?

As they explain in their page, there are only a few steps to enjoy the benefits of the platform:

  1. Explore and join to some communities which you have interests in common.

“Want to conserve energy? Save the Earth? Join flash mobs around the world? Or maybe even join a lemonade loving community? Put your money where your heart is.”
Native web page

  1. Be participative inside the community you choose or create: engaging, funding or supporting projects, making diverse tasks and voting important issues relevant to the aims of the association. Thus improve the group in formation and raise its value, while you earn money and also track its value.

There are categories for the communities?

Yes. At least exists five, as they claimed in Native’s White Paper. All of them act like a fund raiser (emitting tokens)and specialize in one topic: Events, Local theatre, Charity, NGOs and Community Funded Projects (CPFs). The first one is for an event, the second is for paying production costs and the third, fourth and five is for the community. One for initial operations and two for developing projects giving by curators or members.

Wait! Who are those?

There are two types of users inside Native, and both impulse the group making different actions and worrying about different aspects of the projects

CharacteristicsMembersCurators

Take critical decisionsPreserve the concept and aim of the community
Create and design tasks

It should be noted that...

Each community have their own token with a converse value in the Native tokens. When a person want join to a determined group pay a membership which brings certain rights of participation. There are two tokens circulating along the platform, the NTV and locals.

  • Native Token: is the base token, which provides the base membership for the platform and is supported in the Bancor Network Token (BCN). In fact, the Bancor Protocol is used for confirming the transactions in one token without the approval of the other. So, they’re using Smart Tokens.

  • Community Fund (local cryptocurrency): is focused in the growth of the group, and raise with new members and “Project proceeds recycling into the community” (Native's White Paper).

The hierarchical system enables to maintain harmony and fluidity in the growing community, because all participants have specific activities. Besides, the categorization of groups gives a clearer objective and an easy search for the newbies who join Native.

Researching for this post I read some exciting communities as:

  • Peace accelerators, which focused in spreading peace in diverse events
  • Imaginal films, developing and producing films because there are many multimedia creators
  • DOLO an organization which want to improve education.

Maybe in one community, let’s say third, is Roger. He engineering focused in clean-energy which found out of Native by his cousin, a musician who is part of Imaginal Films. At first glance, Roger was a little bit insecure for the purchase of NTV and then the community token, but when he started to make task, recovered his money and began to implement different strategies of education. Also he meets two new friends who live near to his house. Now he loves to be a part really active of the community DOLO.
