The report from the National Weather Service confirms the EF2. No serious injuries, downed trees, and Harley Davidson building has damage. The worst damage was a restaurant but no one inside was injured.
Photographs I took while my husband is driving his van. He pulls over and I tell him to keep going. All I could think of was getting home to my dog.
This is when the skies turn dark and I put it first to show you how quickly things change. Notice the funnel forming behind the building.
My apologies for the crack in the windshield but no way I was going to get out to take these photos. That is a big grain dryer the clouds are behind to give you an idea of the size.
Once home I got this shot of the hail falling on my car. They were small but a lot of them. Right now if a tornado his us directly we will have to go to the neighbor's basement. You can see a basement across from my car.
We took a chance and stayed home.

The weather is keeping us busy again. Snow and frigid temps in winter and now a tornado in the spring.

I lived in Texas for a bit and you could see those tornados coming across the vast landscape for almost a hundred miles if you could see that far. I watch them too, mesmerized by them. I cannot help it.
I went through Oklahoma City after the big one hit them and the destruction is jaw-dropping. Mother Nature has quite the temper.

Wow, that is one ominous looking sky. I remember seeing these kinds of storms in Ohio in the 70's but we don't get many like this in Minnesota. I'm glad you guys are okay!
Wow @ericvancewalton thanks for commenting. Yes, we are getting more rain today and tomorrow. I am going to build an ark. lol I grew up in Texas with lots of flooding from hurricanes.
Oh yeah it is both cool and scary to see all at the same time for me anyways!
My husband pulled over and I am like, "Let's go!" He loves to watch too much.
We have driven through cities that once were like Joplin where nothing was left and that is what I keep in the back of my mind. Joplin had an EF 4 toranado.

UGH, we had one near by and there were literally unheard of until recently! crazy stuff....but then again, I kind of believe we need some crazy shit for people to wake up to the global threat. MAybe won't be too late.
There is so much going on nowadays sanity is the thing to hold on to.

I'm glad you guys are safe. We do not have large tornadoes here. I only got the idea of how intense it is when I watched the movie Twister when I was young. I hope the hail didn't cause too much damage.
Thanks for your comment @watersnake101 the hail was small. When it gets baseball size then things get really bad. Twister was a good movie.
